CAYOS COCHINOS TOUR

Cayos Cochinos are a group of islands(16) about 45 minutes to an hour located on the southeast side of Roatan and only 9 miles from the north coast of mainland Honduras.

The islands are a protected by the "Fundacion Cayos Cochinos" (Cayos Cochinos Foundation) and are part of the second largest coral reef system in the world. (Meso-American barrier reef) The place ranks 14th on the “clearest waters around the world list”, has been featured on National Geographic and Is considered one of the best places to visit in the country.

Leaving from West Bay Beach (aka Tabyana Beach), this trip will take you on a journey to remember. Keep an eye out for dolphins, pilot whales and even whale sharks on the way… you never know.

Once there, we’ll snorkel 2 sites, visit 4 islands including CHACHAHUATE, an island that’s been inhabited since the late 1700’s, and home to the local GARIFUNA community. A little village of around 100 people.

EXCURSION INCLUDES:

-A lot of beach time with unlimited open bar…beer, vodka and rum, with juices, sodas and water to keep everyone hydrated, chips and dip, fruit platters and a traditional meal cooked the local way served with red snapper or chicken, coconut rice and beans and plantain chips. Interact with the locals, try local snacks such as coconut bread, coconut candy etc…
